DORIS GOUDREAU DARBASIE
Artist & Exhibitions
"I derive most of my material from people, situations, and objects that are part of the urban setting in Edmonton, Canada, where I live. Musicians are especially challenging, as I try to capture something of the magic of their art. In my approach I look for subtleties and unusual qualities in what might at first appear to be the ordinary. My training includes studies at the University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan University, and artists' workshops. Some of my paintings are in private collections in Canada."
